Only people you invite are approved automatically — after they create their account with the invited email and confirm it. Anyone else who signs up stays locked out until you approve them here.

Pay period
"End of month" closes on the 30th or 31st (28th/29th in Feb). "30th" puts the 31st into the next period.
Schedule rules
If someone keeps working after an automatic clock-out, you still owe them for that time. Use this only if your policy is that nobody works past their shift.
Overtime
"Block clock-in" stops people from starting a shift once they've reached the weekly limit, unless you tick "Overtime approved" on their shift. Overtime is always calculated by workweek, never by pay period.
Strict clock-out & lunch
Employees can always end lunch early — a lunch shorter than the minimum is simply paid (federal law: breaks under 20 minutes are always paid). Every automatic clock-out is flagged under Team → Needs attention until you confirm or correct it.

Export & records
Keep payroll records for at least 3 years and time records for at least 2 (federal law; some states require longer). Time is never deleted, only voided with a reason.
